Introduced in April 2004, the iBook G4 (Early 2004) was essentially a speed-bump of the exiting iBook G4 line. In addition to faster processors, the iBook G4 (Early 2004) models had a larger L2 cache, twice the on-board RAM, and a faster combo drive. The iBook G4 (Early 2004) shipped in 3 configurations: 12.1"/1.0 GHz/256 MB/30 GB/$1,099, 14.1"/1.0 GHz/256 MB/40 GB/$1,299, and 14.1"/1.2 GHz/256 MB/60 GB/$1,499. The DVD-R SuperDrive was available as a BTO option on 14.1" models.
