The 2.4 GHz model used an Intel Mobile Core 2 Duo T8300 CPU, with 3 MB of L2 cache. The 17.1" was discontinued in January 2009, weighed 6.8 lbs and had the following dimensions: 1" H x 15.4" W x 10.2" D.
Introduced in February 2008, the MacBook Pro (Early 2008) was a speed-bump of the MacBook Pro (Mid 2007). The MacBook Pro (Early 2008) shipped in three configurations:
- 15.4"/2.4 GHz/3 MB L2/2 GB RAM/200 GB HD/256 MB VRAM/$1999
- 15.4"/2.5 GHz/6 MB L2/2 GB RAM/250 GB HD/512 MB VRAM/$2499
- 17"/2.5 GHz/6 MB L2/2 GB RAM/250 GB HD/512 MB VRAM/$2799
A 2.6 GHz processor was available as a Build-to-order option. In October 2008 All models except the 17" were discontinued in favor of the new Unibody models. The 17" got 4GB of RAM and a 320 GB hard drive, and continued to sell for $2799, until it was replaced in January 2009, by the MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2009).
